You’ll embark on an unforgettable safari experience with Elephant Tours & Safaris in one of our open safari vehicles for the ultimate safari feel. You’ll end your safari with 2 nights in the iconic Train on the Bridge in the Kruger National Park. This package includes 5-star accommodation in Hazyview, all-inclusive accommodation at Kruger Shalati, return airport transfers via shuttle, and all Kruger National Park entrance/conservation fees.

You’ll be collected from the airport.
Accommodation prior to the tour start date can be arranged at an additional cost.
Day 1
JHB Transfer to Hazyview & Optional Afternoon Activities
The airport shuttle departs O.R. Tambo Airport at 6:45 am. On arrival in Hazyview approximately 5 hours later, you will be met by an Elephant Herd Tours & Safaris guide and transported to your accommodation on the outskirts of Hazyview.
After a welcome drink, you will have 2 to 3 hours to unpack and relax, enjoying the magnificent views of the Sabie River &
Valley. We will collect you for an unforgettable 1-hour experience with Africa’s gentle giants, the African elephant, or a fun-filled afternoon on an aerial cable trail gliding over the tree canopies along the Sabie River.
Dinner will be served at the lodge whilst soaking in the perfect setting as the sun sets over the breath-taking views.

Day 2
Kruger National Park Safari
Your safari to the Kruger National Park starts before sunrise in one of our open safari vehicles, allowing you to view animals from a higher vantage point and a perfect panoramic view. Your guide will use his expert knowledge to help you search for and find the iconic animals in the park whilst interpreting the natural environment during the drive.
You will have a brief stop for breakfast at around 8:30 am to enjoy the individually packed breakfast packs your guesthouse provided. You will enjoy these at a rest camp or a picnic spot along the planned route for that day. There will also be a lunch stop should you wish to purchase a lunch snack from the restaurants inside Kruger Park or stretch your legs.
You will return to your guesthouse at around 3:30 pm, in time for a refreshing drink or a dip in the pool.
You’ll enjoy another dinner, overlooking the views of the Sabie Valley.

Day 3
Private Kruger Morning Safari and Transfer to Luxury Lodge
For one last time, you will rise before the sun and set out for your exclusive sole-use morning safari in the Kruger National Park before arriving in time for check-in at the Private Safari Lodge.
Breakfast packs will be provided by your guesthouse for you to enjoy at one of the picnic spots or rest camps. After a morning exploring the Kruger Park, our guide will take you to Shalati Train on the Bridge to check in, unpack, refresh, spend the rest of the day at the pool or just lazing around.
At 4:00 pm, you’ll depart on an open safari vehicle for your afternoon game drive in the Kruger Park, including the traditional sundowner drink stop in the heart of the bushveld. Here, you can enjoy a drink and some traditional South African snacks whilst we watch the sunset over the African bushveld.
Your accommodation is in a luxury carriage suite at Shalati Train on the Bridge, and includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as well as a selection of local drinks.

Day 4
Private Game Reserve Experience
Expert rangers and a dedicated hospitality team will ensure that your stay at Shalati is truly memorable.
Each day begins with an early morning safari game drive. In the late afternoon, you will head out on another game drive and return after dark, giving you the exhilarating experience of being on a night game drive!
After your morning safari, return to the lodge, enjoy brunch, and spend the rest of the day at the pool or just relaxing in your carriage overlooking the Sabie River.
An example of your experience will look something like the below. Times might vary according to season:
05:30 am: Wake-up call.
06:00 am: Coffee and rusks.
06:30 am: Morning game drive.
9:00 am to 10:00 am: Return to the lodge.
10:00 am: Breakfast/brunch.
2:00 pm: Tea and a light lunch.
4:00 pm: Afternoon game drive and night drive.
7:00 pm to 8:00 pm: Return to the camp for drinks at the bar and dinner.

Day 5
Morning Safari & Transfer to OR Tambo International Airport
After your final morning game drive and breakfast, you will be transferred to Perry’s Bridge in Hazyview, where you will board the mini-bus shuttle for your road transfer to O.R. Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg, arriving between 5:30 pm and 6:00 pm.
If you prefer to travel to your onward destination from either Skukuza Airport or Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport, a transfer can be arranged.
