Day 1

JHB Transfer to Hazyview & Sunset Drive

The minibus shuttle service departs from OR Tambo International Airport bus terminal at 06h45. On arrival in Hazyview at approximately 12h00, you will be collected by an Elephant Herd Tours & Safaris guide and transported to your accommodation. After a welcome drink in the beautiful and bird-rich gardens of the guesthouse, you will have 2 to 3 hours to unpack and relax, before one of our dedicated staff members will collect for the sunset safari offered by Sanparks.

You will get a sneak preview of what you can expect your other two safaris with a focus on the plains game such as zebra, giraffe and various antelope, although the park is always full of surprises and there may be one of the Big 5 waiting for you just around the corner.
After the sunset safari, you will be transferred to a local restaurant of your choice for dinner at own cost.

Day 2

Kruger National Park Safari

Your safari to the Kruger National Park will start before sunrise in one of our open safari vehicle which allows you to view animals from a higher vantage point and a perfect panoramic view. Your guide will use his expert knowledge to search for, and find, the iconic animals in the park as well as interpreting the natural environment. You will stop at various lookout points, waterholes and rivers to increase your chances of seeing as many of the fauna & flora that the park has to offer as well as breathtaking scenery of the different areas of the park.

You will be provided with individually packed breakfast packs which you will be able to enjoy at a rest camp or a picnic spot along the planned route for that day, there will also be a lunch stop should you wish to purchase a lunch snack or simply stretch your legs.

You will return just in time for a sundowner drink or a dip in the pool. The dinner transfer will be ready at the time arranged with your guide.

Day 3

KNP Morning Safari & Transfer to Safari Lodge

One last time you will rise before the sun and set out for your final morning safari in the Kruger National Park before you set off to the Private Game Reserve. Breakfast packs will be provided by the guesthouse for you to enjoy at one of the picnic spots or rest camps. After leaving the park at around 10h45, you will be transferred back to the guesthouse to pack up your luggage & have a quick snack before we transfer you to the lodge in the private game reserve. You will arrive in time for the early evening game drive with a sundowner stop in the heart of the bushveld where you can enjoy a drink and some traditional South African snacks, the game drive will be followed by dinner under the stars around a boma fire.

Day 4

Private Game Reserve Experience

Expert Rangers and a dedicated hospitality team will ensure that your stay at the safari lodge is truly memorable.
Each day begins with an early morning safari game drive In the late afternoon guests head out on another game drive and return after dark, offering guests exhilarating night game drives as well! Optional bush walks are offered every day after breakfast/brunch.
An example of your experience will look something like this:

Day 5

Transfer to OR Tambo Airport

After your final morning game drive and breakfast, you will be transferred back to Hazyview where you will hop onto the minibus shuttle back to OR Tambo International Airport.

Should you wish to stay an additional day in the private game reserve, this can be organised at an additional cost.
