Day 1

Transfer to Dreamfields Guest House & KNP Afternoon Safari

Guests will depart from OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg and be transferred via the minibus shuttle service to Hazyview – Private transfers can be arranged at an additional cost. Upon arrival in Hazyview, will be collected by an Elephant Herd Tours & Safaris qualified guide and transported to your accommodation at the 4-star Dreamfields Guest House, after a welcome drink in the beautiful & bird-rich gardens of the guesthouse, you will have about 2 hours to unpack and relax before your guide collects you for your first safari. You will be accompanied by your dedicated field guide for your safaris in the Kruger National Park.
On this relaxed afternoon safari, you will have a sneak preview of what you can expect from the other 2 safaris with a focus on plains game such as zebra, giraffe and various antelope, although the Kruger National Park is always full of surprises and there may be one of the Big 5 waiting for you just around the corner.
Your dinner transfer will be ready for you at the scheduled time.

Day 2

Full Day Kruger National Park Safari

The safari to the Kruger National park will start before sunrise in an open safari vehicle which allows you to view animals from a higher vantage point and a perfect panoramic view. Your guide will use his expert knowledge to search for, and find, the iconic animals in the park as well as interpreting the natural environment. You will stop at various lookout points, waterholes and rivers during your safari to increase your chances of seeing as many of the fauna & flora that the park has to offer as well as breathtaking scenery of the different areas of the park.
Breakfast packs will be provided by the guesthouse for you to enjoy at one of the picnic spots or rest camps. At approximately mid-day there will be lunch break should you wish to purchase a lunch snack or simply stretch your legs.
You will return to your guesthouse after your safari, just in time for a sundowner drink at the pool at your own leisure. Your dinner transfer will be ready for you at the scheduled time.

Day 3

Kruger Morning Safari & Transfer to the Private Game Reserve

One last time you will rise before the sun and set out for your final morning safari in the Kruger National Park before you set off to the private game reserve. There will be breakfast packs provided by the guesthouse for you to enjoy at one of the picnic spots or rest camps.

After leaving the park at around 11h15, you will be transferred back to the guesthouse to pack up your luggage before we transfer you to Umkumbe Safari Lodge in the private game reserve where you will arrive in time for the sunset drive & sundowners. Your safari experience in the private game reserve will be different to that experienced in the park as you will experience some off-roading in a 4×4 Landrover with no roof which allows for a 360-degree view, ideal for the perfect photographic and video opportunity.

After the sunset drive, you will have the opportunity to dine in true bush style under the stars around a big boma fire.

Day 4

Morning Off Road Safari & Transfer to JHB

Enjoy your final early morning game drive with a coffee and breakfast snack stop in the heart of the bushveld, expert rangers will ensure that your safari experience is truly memorable. Enjoy breakfast on the deck overlooking the dry riverbed where many animals may pass by before you depart for your transfer back to the minibus shuttle service pick up point for your transfer back to OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg, feeling absolutely fulfilled and ready to come back for round 2.

Should you wish to stay an additional day in the private game reserve, this can be organised at an additional cost.
